I got to St Maarten finished up the last few pages of Muted Colors and started on Lethal Legacy. I said to myself...hmm a Nazi book, not usually my favorite and for vacation??? but wow...again great characters, great story, just a great book !!!!!

Cheers,
Bette

I finished the book. I am really impressed that you could research and be so accurate with places, and things like guns etc. of course you knew the medicine which i would expect. now if you don't mind, here are my criticisms.... not of the book, but of marshall.

YOU ARE MARSHALL (even his bday is 6/19) and unfortunately, i did not like him... although i still like you. he is a first class wuss.

Interestingly he lived under bernice's shadow and did not like the scene. he comes to pittsburgh for his own identity. He judges his worth by his job in pittsburgh but not by being a kept man in new york. both are external factors and not the true criterion for self worth and self esteem. he did not actively pursue either sally or rose. a mature man goes after what he wants.

He had no courage to divorce bernice. He passively went along when she wanted to divorce him. Even her affair came out first. Why couldnt marshall be honest with his wife and actively tell her instead of she tell him. In the end he almost went back to Rose. He had to think a minute before saying no. Heck, when she got sick, i would have been out of there. They were only dating for a few months there was no committment at that time. quick and hot romances do die out quickly.

When Rose was too busy to see him, why wait around. Call Sally and pursue her, or any other woman in a local bar. He submissively waited around for Rose.

His marriage to Bernice, he claims he was young.. he got married at age 31.. that is not young..jerry was young but supposedly marshall should have sown oats by then.

What guy at age 40 would let a girl jerk him off on a ride til climax. It is one thing to play around and another to be embarrassed by stains on the shorts.

When he was in Rose's bed, and she said no...why not be aggressive, at least til he got off. He was too spineless not to get off in that situation. Regarding the S and M ...Jerry's fantasy, reality or a combination Having said all that, I loved the book and the fact that I know the author. I do hope I get to read your next book.
