i loved this book...your best so far... i was most impressed with the historic references of vietnam and world war 2....were the atrocitities in vietnam on the gathering of info on prisoners accurate? was the oss/ cia plan with nazis and brainwashing accurate? indeed i

was quite impressed was your politics evoked thru the character in matt? i went to med school to evade the draft..no way i could flee to canada. what was your thing? speaking of matt, he was you personified although he was less of a wuss than the heroes in your other books. however, i did feel 5 weeks was too long before he had sex with lila..i would have tried it within a week, and then the authorities would have taken her from me..it was hard to believe that the courts would give lila to matt...but that is why it is fiction.

as a sequel to this book, matt and lila run out at nite to start a life on the lam...otherwise she would end up in jail anyway, this book was great...you should give up the day job and continue writing..i may show this book to a hollywood type..who knows.. maybe a feature film with nicole kidman as lila, tom hanks as you..er..matt and brian dennehy as vitale
